1.- Thinking Big

Prayer is a very powerful tool. We can use prayer to change the course of our lives. This is especially in the case of practicing abundance prayers. Such prayers open up the mind to opportunities we could not see before.

Practicing abundance prayers faithfully makes a person develop an abundance mindset. Such a mindset allows you to see the bigger picture in every situation. This is possible because an abundance mindset frees itself from limitation thinking.

Such a mindset will help you explore areas in life where few have trodden. Self-imposed limitations become a thing of the past. Your mindset will overflow with confidence derived from prayers.

2.- Pro-activeness

An abundance mindset will help you shape your realities. The shaping is deliberate and consciously informed. Instead of waiting for people to do for you, you shall do it for yourself first before seeking help.

Abundance prayer enables you to take control of your life. Instead of reacting to everyday events in life, you will start responding to these events with an open mind. Being open-minded will improve how you relate to others since you are accommodative of their ideas.

Aside from enabling you to take charge of your life, pro-activeness eliminates the victim-mentality ideology. The victim-mentality entails placing your belief on the fact that external factors are the cause of your troubles.

With the victim-mentality, a person is always in a reactive position. They, therefore, wait for life to determine their paths instead of crafting it themselves. If they end up failing, they blame their woes on the harshness of the world.

An abundance mindset, you can distinguish between the things you can control and the things that you can’t control. You will therefore in a better position to make decisions that will give abundance meaning in your life.

3.- Full Optimism

A common sage goes like this. Your attitude determines your altitude. In simple terms, how a person thinks greatly influences how far they will go in life. This is of course in terms of success.

The normal human mindset is very familiar. Normally, when we are in difficult situations, we tend to sulk and lose hope. We think that our worlds have crumbled completely. This is not the case with an abundant mindset.

Optimism is one of the cornerstones in having an abundant mindset. Such a mindset enables you to see opportunities in even difficult situations.

This is mainly because we have already submitted to God through abundance prayers. Therefore even if times are hard, we retain the hope that God will make the better in no time.

Optimism is a key ingredient to having a positive attitude. Having a positive attitude towards life brings a lot of fulfillment and joy to a person. It becomes easier to prosper in spaces such as workplaces when you have the right attitude.

The right attitude will help you overcome any obstacles in your life. It will also boost your relationships as you will be a source of joy around other people.

4.- Be in Contentment

Contentment is being grateful and satisfied with whatever portion you are served. This portion might be in the form of the salary that you earn, the job position that you hold or the good health that you enjoy, etc.

In 1 Timothy 6:6-12, the Bible says, “Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.”

The Bible talks about being satisfied with that that you have. If the family is all you have, that’s enough abundance, appreciate the Lord for that. If possess great materialistic things, there is still a reason to be grateful.

The problem with most people is that they like to compare their realities with others. Why do they have a big mansion yet we live in a small flat? You might hear someone complain.

This is the reason they tend to be unhappy. They look at life from the perspective of what they lack instead of what they possess.

With an abundance mindset, you quickly learn that comparing takes away the great abundance that you already possess. Instead of yearning for more, you accept and become comfortable with what you already have.

Your peace of mind is therefore protected. You shall enjoy a life full of happiness then.

5.- Attitude of Gratitude

Gratitude is closely related to contentment. Gratitude is the act of being thankful for whatever you receive in your life. You cannot be grateful if you are not satisfied with whatever you are given. That is where the relationship between gratitude and contentment arises.

An abundance mindset helps you to consciously recognize and drive your reality. It teaches you to be content with what you have in life. It opens up your mind to the awareness that no situation is permanent and that there is always a silver lining ahead.

With time, these values change how you look at the world. You start realizing that you have been blessed in so many ways that you couldn’t see before. Everyday privileges such as having good health become significant to you. You no longer take anything for granted.

You, therefore, tend to be appreciative of these things. It becomes clear that all that we enjoy is not in vain. It is only God that allows us to enjoy through our supplications in the form of abundance prayers.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 advises us to “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Jesus Christ.”

6.- Seek for Wisdom

An abundant mindset is a mindset that is dominated by wisdom. No one can prosper for a longer period if they lack wisdom in their dealings. Through abundance prayer, we ask for prosperity and in turn, the Lord grants us the wisdom to prosper.

Wisdom improves the quality of the choices that you make in life. In 1 Kings 3:9-10 Solomon says to the Lord “Give me an understanding heart so that I can govern your people well and know the difference between right and wrong.

For whom by himself can govern these great people of yours?”

Two things stand out from the verse. First, we must ask for wisdom through abundance prayers. Secondly, it is only through wisdom that we can differentiate what is good from what is bad.

Wisdom will help you navigate the storms of this life.

It will enable you to choose your friends wisely. Friends greatly influence our behavior. If you happen to choose those whose ways are perverted, you will end up being perverted.

If you choose friends who uplift you, you will enjoy all the abundance that there is to be offered. Wisdom will also shape your choices. These have a positive effect on a person’s life.

Flexibility results from open-mindedness which results from having an abundant mindset. A flexible person is a person who can accommodate changes with little resistance. Sometimes it is necessary to be flexible to make progress in life.

Flexibility enables a person to grow. When you are flexible, you can deviate from your prejudices and seek knowledge from other people. You can recognize when your strategies are not working thus relying on help from others.

In the process of being flexible, you get to learn different ways of doing things. In time, you become a master in so many fields and your abundance in life increases significantly.

Flexibility also makes you approachable since you will not be in the habit of imposing you will over others. This is good for strengthening our relationship with other people.
